These volunteer holidays and vacations are aimed at using volunteer tourists (voluntourist) labour and funding to alleviate poverty in East Africa-Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda, Tanzania protect cultures and ways of life, forests, environment wild life, and promote sustainable tourism mindful of the needs of the local people while at the same time giving our clients a great time and Real Safaris.
Join to support local issues, support conservation and community projects and have a good time doing it while you tour.
Additional activities: In addition to the activities listed for each country, we can arrange alternative cultural activities, guided tours or other leisure activities relevant to your group. Activities will be charged on an individual basis.
Familiarization visit: If you need to visit the project before a group trip (e.g. for health and safety purposes) we can arrange for a familiarization visit to cover all the locations and activities included in the itinerary. This will be charged at the same group rate per person. Minimum numbers do not apply.
Leaders Travel free: As a trip leader, you will receive free place on the trip for every 10 people. You will get free accommodation in Africa, free meals, free excursions and trip including a safari when you bring just 10 full-paying participants on your tour. Then, for each additional 10 full-paying travelers, you earn another free place. You can use your free places for other leaders or helpers. If you have extra travelers beyond those that qualify your free places, you can bring another traveler at a discounted rate. Say you have a team of 15 people, one can go at a reduced rate.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1:
Upon your arrival we shall transfer you from the airport to accommodation. Dinner. Orientation. Rest.
Days 2-8 or 11:
Breakfast. Group Meeting. Work project. Lunch. Project work. Dinner. Evening meal. Free time.
Days 9 or 12 and 13:
Normally we spend two or three days away on an activity like safari, white water rafting, fishing, bungee jumping, quad biking trips, swimming, forest walks, to give you a chance to relax, act like a tourist, shop, swim and reflect upon all that has just transpired.
Days 12-14:
Travel day. Transport to airport and fly back home.
- Groups of 4 and above: $1,310 US Dollars
- 2 People together: $1,500 US Dollars
- Single travelers: $1,800 US Dollars
