KIBALE FOREST, QUEEEN ELIZABETH AND THE GORILLAS ( 6 nights/ 7 days).
Day 1: Entebbe - Kibale forest National Park
Meet and greet in Kampala. Transfer to Fort portal which hestles in the shadow of the Fabled ‘Mountain of the moon’. Afternoon visit to Bigodi Swamp, see smaller mammals and primates, rare red colombus monkey and the sitatungas. Dinner and over night at Kibale Tented Camp or any other chosen place for your accommodation.
Day 2: Kibale forest National Park
Full day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primates including I’hoeste red colobus, blues, red tailed and gray cheeked Mangabeys. The guide will provide detailed information and explanation on primates and forest flora and fauna. The walk is both informative and enjoyable. Return for Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Kibale forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National park
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range. You may view lions, elephants, leopards and so many en route. After lunch at the hotel, you may relax at the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jakana Safari Camp or any other similar place for your accommodation.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drive with the help of the guide. The massive Rwenzori as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, giant forest hog, cape buffaloes, and elephants, Uganda Kobe, Topie and Bushbuck. After lunch, enjoy the unique two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into ht e Lake Edward. The trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of peoples and many bird species. This gives an excellent platform for photography. Return for Dinner and overnight stay at your place of accommodation.
Day 5: Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park
Drive through the Switzerland of Africa known as Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Kisoro and Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at volcano tented camp or Bwindi View Guest House.
Day 6: Bwindi National Park
Early morning entry into the Gorilla sanctuary. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal. The time taken and the terrain varies according to the movements of the marvelous prime, and afternoon lunch, village walk to the pygmies return for overnight on full board basis.
Day 7: Bwindi National Park – Kampala.
Leave Bwindi Forest to Kampala after break fast, lunch will be served in Masaka town, proceed to Entebbe and arrive in time to catch your flight back home, breakfast and lunch.
